LET'S GET TO KNOW THIS LADY:

Q: Coffee or tea?
A:
Coffee forever, with loads of cream & sugar.

Q: Guilty pleasure?
A:
Re-watching The Office a million times, sleeping in, and going to dog parks to pet other peoples' dogs.

Q: What are you listening to lately?
A:
Real Estate, Local Natives, and old Iron & Wine.

Q: Who are you crushing on?
A:
Pam (@pamlovesferrariboys), the gals from Wonderland Tattoo PDX (@onholliday, @alicerules), and Jamie Beck (@annstreetstudio).

Q: Current mantra?
A:
It's not really a mantra, but I tell myself all the time to stop apologizing. In the words of Queen B, I AIN'T SORRY.

WHAT MAKES HER A BOSS:

Q: What do you do?
A:
I'm the lady boss behind Brittney Raine Photography. I shoot weddings, couples, and awesome people around the world. I strive to capture honest, emotional reflections of people's lives in a style that is adventurous and modern.

Q: Tell us about a project you recently wrapped
A:
Being in the wedding industry, I haven't really worked on much else, but I am making it a point to do more photography that's just for fun. It's easy to forget why I got into this business — for the love of creating art. Right now I'm planning a trip for myself this winter to explore and push my boundaries: a solo road trip through southern California & Arizona, with shoots all along the way. I'm gonna let my photo freak flag fly, and I couldn't be more excited.

Q: What makes you go to work each day?
A:
I'm like, reeeeeeal stubborn. All I've ever heard are things like "photography's just a hobby," "you have to go to college to get anywhere in life," and "you can't start a business without business experience." I guess I have some deep-seeded authority issues, because I went and did everything you're not supposed to do, and here I am. My life is a constant work in-progress, but that's what's great about it. // Also, my clients are awesome, and working with great people makes me want to create my best work.

Q: Tell us about a dream project or client.
A:
This is probably a super generic answer, but my dream client is anyone who truly values photography, and gives me trust and creative freedom. // My dream project? Photographing a campaign for Haagen Dazs. I really love ice cream.

Q: What made you decide to host a Lady Boss?
A:
I've been to a bunch of Lady Boss events, and I've loved every single one! They're so unique — not at all your standard networking shindig. I always walk away with new pals and helpful answers to any questions I might have.
