This post is part of a series of interviews with Lady Boss hostesses.
Jessa Stevens is hosting our June 23, 2016 edition of Lady Boss at Inspired Brews Fermentary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Registration goes live on June 1 — the link is only available via our email list. Sign up for our email list if you haven't already!
LET'S GET TO KNOW THIS LADY:
Q: Coffee or tea?
A: Man-o-man, tea! I love all tea. I have tea every morning (really digging Kukicha and CocoLove's Emma: Genmaicha Green).
Q: Guilty pleasure?
A: Naps. I'm afraid to tell my employees that I've taken them for fear of them being jealous. I hit that pillow and I'm out.
Q: What are you listening to lately?
A: Periscope ABC series on essential oils by @joleighblonde (I think Sarah K. turned me on to her!) I've been catching up on the soon disappearing katch.me
Q: Who are you crushing on?
A: My daughter Willow. She's the best. I love watching her learn new things every day.
Q: Current mantra?
A: Buffer. I recently read 'Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less' by Greg McKeown.
WHAT MAKES HER A BOSS:
Q: What do you do?
A: Inspired Brews is small-batch, local and seasonally inspired kombucha.
Q: What makes you go to work each day?
A: I want to be a part of our community in a way that inspires people to look at what they're consuming, to interact daily with the city and the people living here to promote good tasting healing, health, mindfulness, and a deeper look at why we do what we do.
Q: Tell us about a dream project or client.
A: I'd love to be on draft in all of Steven Star's restaurants with featured kombucha cocktails each month!I've been encouraged by other lady bosses along the way and am so grateful for the lift.
Q: What made you decide to host a Lady Boss?
A: I hope that meeting in our space can shed some light on 'bossy' subjects and spur each other on to do amazing things for our city!
