Q: Coffee or tea?
A: Depends on my mood! I also love me some gin & tonic w/ a splash of St. Germain.

Q: Guilty pleasure?
A: I don't feel guilty about any of my pleasures. But I take pleasure in spending too much time with animals, listening to music, swing dancing, being out in nature, and dancing around my house in my underwear to reggae music.

Q: What are you listening to lately?
A: Toots and the Maytals, Madness, The Specials, Bob Marley, old school rap, hot jazz...quite a mix of genres and artists really. It often just depends on my mood.

Q: Who are you crushing on?
A: My crushes are all dead. Yikes! William Powell, Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, Gary Cooper, Hedy Lamarr, Katharine Hepburn, etc. I also love a well dressed man/woman, especially in vintage menswear. To me, menswear is an art. A man (or woman) who can wear it well catches my eye immediately.

Q: Current mantra?
A: Do No Harm, But Take No Shit! I change my mantra every year. That is mine for 2016. Last year it was "Hustle" and hustle I did!

Q: What do you do?
A: I own a company which is comprised of my own freelance business doing hair and makeup as well as my bridal company, Jessica Saint Bridal. We are located in the wonderful Bok Building in South Philadelphia in a studio named Créer Studio that I share with several photographers. My bridal business has 11 artists and is steadily growing. I am also represented by an agent where I get to do gigs for Swarovski, Meghan Trainor, Einstein Medical, etc. Granted I am unable to credit those gigs on my resume as I chose to own a business while having an agent so rather than sign a non-compete I had to agree to keep my work with her off of my resume. Boo! But at least I get to experience some amazing gigs. Outside of my agent I have worked on Broadway, Opera's, Miss USA, movie premiere's, etc.

Q: Tell us about a project you recently wrapped.
A: Moving into our new studio! It has been a long time coming and is finally almost done! A lot of things have been put on hold since working on getting this studio set up so this is the most exciting project I have right now. Haha!

Q: What makes you go to work each day?
A: Art and being my own boss. I love making people feel beautiful. I love making art. I love love. I get to do what I love on a daily basis. If you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life. Having a passion for what I do for a living motivates me. That and building a strong foundation for a happy and successful life!

Q: Tell us about a dream project or client.
A: My dream project or client would be one where I could travel all over the world doing makeup on fashion campaigns, photoshoots, runway, etc. I would LOVE to be on a team with Pat McGrath some day. She is a huge makeup artist in the industry and working under her would be an honor. Or even Dany Sanz, the owner of Make Up For Ever.

Q: What made you decide to host a Lady Boss?
A: I decided to host a Lady Boss event because I love the idea of other female entrepreneurs empowering and helping each other out. I don't believe in competition. I believe that there's enough out there for everyone and that we should be helping each other rather than competing and spilling that bad blood all over the place. Everyone has something to teach one another so let's learn from each other and be happy for each other's successes rather than try to be a crab in a bucket pulling each other back down!
