Rustic DIY Wedding at Barn on Bridge :: Lori & Paul

Lori & Paul were such a badass couple! Our first meeting was via Skype and with their vintage tees, trendy glasses, and tattoos I totally felt like the nerdy kid in a cardigan. After chatting for all of 2 seconds I realized A) they were as cool as my first impression; and B) they were a totally chill couple that were going to be a blast to work with.

We work with couples no matter where they’re located or planning their event, which is why we love Skype! Planning from a distance can cause a lot of stress for couples — on top of planning a wedding for the first time, hey, let’s do it long distance! So the first thing we did with Lori & Paul was firm up a schedule of communication.

Both Lori & Paul were very hands-on throughout the process and they crafted, created, and constructed many of the detailed elements of their big day. Lori, a cake designer, actually made the cake with such incredible sugar flowers.

The groom spent his morning at The Shave Bar, totally manly way to spend your morning!

Words from the groom: Sarah touched based throughout our entire engagement with regular calls and Skype sessions to make sure that we were on the right track and that everything was being planned in a timely manner in able to make the whole wedding a success. She provided us with several worksheets to track our progress and stay organized — something that is very hard to do when planning a wedding. On the day of the wedding, Sarah (and company!) made the entire day stress free (aside from the typical stress and anxiety of actually getting married). We didn't have to worry about a single thing — she took over communication with all of our vendors, and the event staff at the venue. I can wholeheartedly say that without Sarah's help, our wedding wouldn't have been as much of a success. The level of professionalism displayed by Sarah and her staff was absolutely incredible, and I couldn't have imagined the day without her! We highly recommend working with Heart & Dash. Also, aside from being incredibly professional, everyone at Heart & Dash is super friendly and helped calm my nerves on the day of — I can't thank them enough!

Event Recap :: Dance on the Falls Bridge 2015

BG Productions

BG Productions

This past September we produced one of our largest events, the Dance on the Falls Bridge. The non-profit East Falls Development Corporation hired us to execute the 5th year of the fundraising event. We were tasked with increasing attendance, increasing profit margins, and making the event regionally recognized. With our non-traditional approach to marketing and event production we were able to meet all goals set forth by the client then some, including selling out tickets!

Throughout the planning process and execution of the event we were able to showcase our logistical skills. While we love weddings, sometimes it’s fun to dig into the details and geek out over logistics — timelines, floor plans, area maps, drop-off schedules, and more! A 1400-person dance on a bridge that is only shut down a few hours before and after the event was the perfect opportunity to put those skills to the test, and pull off a super fun event!

A Romantic Spring Wedding at Terrain :: Stefanie & Eric

They say if it rains on your wedding day it’s good luck. Fortunately for Stefanie & Eric, the rain behaved itself by waiting until cocktail hour was wrapping up! Their gorgeous ceremony under the arbor at Terrain was just as romantic as they envisioned — adorned with a custom floral garland by Kate Farley.

Since Terrain's reception space has such great lighting already, we kept things simple and elegant by incorporating taper candles — which have the added benefit of creating dimension with varying height. The couple selected a sweet pairing of soft grey and peach to use throughout their wedding design. We carried the color palette throughout with custom stationery and signage, napkin selection, and a romantic peach chiffon table runner for the head table. The way the silk draped off the ends of the table brought a romantic and luxurious feeling to the space and created a nice visual tie-in to the draping on the ceremony arbor.

Svetlana did an amazing job of capturing the day’s special moments, while Terrain at Styers executed a delicious menu custom crafted by the couple — topped off with a spread of mini pies!

Words from the bride :: Heart & Dash made wedding planning easy! From their very helpful checklists to recommending fantastic vendors, Sarah & Sarah were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. They both have a fantastic eye for design, know weddings inside & out and are very well-connected in the industry. I couldn't have imagined the actual day without them there — because of great prep everyone was prepared, they executed everything flawlessly beyond our expectations, led the entire setup and managed our vendors effortlessly. They left us nothing to worry about except enjoying the day & celebrating together with our families.

Thank you Stefanie & Eric for putting your trust in us to pull together your big day and guide you through the planning and design process!
